The decision to
learn in either a manual or automatic tuition vehicle can
sometimes be guided by the wrong reasons. Often we are bullied
into manual, 'because that's what people do' or we
drive what our family and friends drive, we often give very
little consideration to what we actually want or need.
Passing your
driving test in an automatic will restrict your licence to
that transmission. You should give careful consideration to
what you want to achieve now, and in the future. If you plan
to drive heavy goods vehicles, then an automatic will not be
for you.
A new generation
of vehicles are upon us. They are becoming more reliable, and
more robust. We have a large selection of models, from small
to multi-purpose, with different specifications and gadgets.
Once mastered the
gears of a manual vehicle are effortless, smooth, and subtle
in changes. The enjoyment of the open road, and additional
handling from the vehicle can make driving a manual car more
of a driving pleasure. Manual cars are cheaper to run and own,
and generally more economical, although this will probably
change as technology and demand improves.
In some cases
learning to drive an automatic car maybe the better option for
someone with learning difficulties, if you would like to
discuss this with an approved driving instructor then please
